Hon. Judge Amanda K. Brailsford
Judge Amanda K. Brailsford is an Idaho native who grew up in Hagerman, Idaho. She attended the University of Idaho, where she received an undergraduate degree in English, cum laude, in 1989 and her Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, in 1993. After graduation, she worked as a civil litigation attorney in the regional law firm of Holland & Hart LLP for eighteen years before founding a civil litigation boutique in Boise, Idaho. While in private practice, she represented hundreds of Idaho-based clients in complex litigation matters with a primary focus on agriculture issues.
Before entering private practice, Judge Brailsford was a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas G. Nelson of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter appointed Judge Brailsford to the Idaho Court of Appeals in 2019.
Judge Brailsford and her husband have been married for more than twenty years, and they have three children.
